The City of North Ridgeville Public Utilities Department provides billing services for water, sanitary sewer, refuse, and recycling collection to more than 13,900 accounts. There is nearly 300 miles of water lines in the city to service these customers and the sanitary sewer is handled by the city-owned French Creek Wastewater Treatment plant located in Sheffield Village. Water meters are actually read up to four times daily and billed on a monthly basis for all residential and commercial customers.
Citywide refuse collection is every Tuesday beginning at 6:00 AM and includes a recycling program (green cart). Beginning May 2022, the City will now offer bulk pick-up each week during your regular refuse pick-up. This will replace the once a month bulk pick-up that was occurring dividing the city between east and west. Please limit your bulk items to four items each week. In addition, there is also a "Yard Waste" program that will run year round. All grass clippings and other yard waste must be placed in clear plastic bags, brown paper bags, or a loose trash container (no large than 32 gallons) marked as "yard waste" not to exceed 50 lbs. Christmas trees will be collected the first two weeks in January. For more detailed information, click the
Refuse Collection link under Resources/Information.
Our office, located inside City Hall, is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Items that are available to all residents upon request include copies of our water and/or sewer rates, brochures pertaining to our refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection and information about deduct water meters for outside water usage. There is also additional information pertaining to new customer water tap-ins available upon request.
If you have any questions, please contact the office at (440) 490-2049.
