MAYOR CORCORAN'S BIOGRAPHY
Kevin Corcoran was elected Mayor of the City of North Ridgeville in 2019 and began his first term of office on January 1, 2020. He was reelected and began his second term on January 1, 2024.
Prior to becoming Mayor, Kevin was elected to North Ridgeville City Council for three terms, serving from 2008 to 2019. He was appointed by his peers as President of Council in 2010 and served in that role through the rest of his time on Council.
Today, Kevin also serves in leadership roles in various community organizations, including the North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce and the North Ridgeville City Schools Endowment Fund. He is a past board member of Elyria Memorial Hospital/University Hospital EMC and was co-chair of the North Ridgeville Library Levy committee. He is an active member of the North Ridgeville Rotary Club.
Kevin was Vice President and General Counsel for Bob Schmitt Homes from 2000 until his election as Mayor. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Scranton and a Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Kevin and his wife, Lauren, have three children.
