North Ridgeville City Council is the legislative branch of the City Government and operates in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of North Ridgeville and the Ohio State Constitution.
The Council consists of three Council members elected at-large, and one Council member elected from each of the four wards of the city of North Ridgeville. The Council is empowered to govern the city of North Ridgeville by adopting resolutions and ordinances that provide direction to the Mayor and the Mayor’s Administration on the day-to-day operations of the city. Seven members of Council are elected by partisan election, for a term of four years.
North Ridgeville City Council meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month. If a Monday is a nationally recognized holiday, meetings are held on the Tuesday immediately following. Meetings are held in City Council Chambers located in City Hall, 7307 Avon Belden Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. All meetings with the exception of executive sessions shall be open to the public in accordance with State law.
