Water and Sewer Rates

Water meters are read and billed monthly based on the water consumption registered on the meter. Sanitary sewer is also billed monthly and is calculated based on your monthly water consumption. Water and sewer rates vary and may be obtained by printing them below or copies are also available upon request at the Public Utilities Division.

Water discounts are offered to residents that are 62 years of age or older. A discount is realized for qualified seniors who use less than the minimum billing amount of 400 cubic feet, in that they are only charged for actual water use. Additionally, there are no penalties levied for late payments.

The City of North Ridgeville offers a sanitary sewer credit based on the water consumption needed to fill swimming pools. There are two main requirements that must be met in order to be eligible for the sanitary sewer credit.

•    The pool must be a minimum of four feet deep. 

•    The amount of water used to fill the pool must be equal to at least 80 percent of the volume needed to fill the entire pool at the time of the filling. 

You must call the Public Utilities Division prior to filling the pool and if the pool is new, supply the new pool permit number issued by the Building Division along with the size of the pool and the total gallons needed to fill it.
