Cemeteries

The City of North Ridgeville owns and maintains three cemeteries including Fields Cemetery, Ridgeville Cemetery and Sugar Ridge Cemetery. Graves are available for purchase to residents and non-residents. By clicking the individual cemetery links, you may search for available spaces or to locate a gravesite. Maps of these cemeteries can also be viewed in the Council Clerk’s Office at City Hall and questions related to availability of specific lots can be addressed by the Sexton. Cemeteries are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to sunset.

1. No plants shall be planted in the ground. No artificial flowers/ wreaths from April 1 through October 31.

2. Artificial flowers/wreaths are permitted November 1 through March 31.

3. The city shall remove all unsightly items and will not be held responsible for their return.

4. Pets are not permitted on the cemetery grounds. 

5. No mounds, fence, railing, coping, curb, wall, hedge or enclosure of any kind shall be erected on or around any grave or lot.

6. No lot or grave shall be covered, in whole or part, by sand, gravel, broken stone, cinders or any other substance which may prevent full growth of grass.

7. Flower pots or flower pot holders shall not exceed eight inches in diameter.
