Mayor's Message

Mayor's Message

Mayor Kevin Corcoran
November ushers in the holiday season and is also National Gratitude Month.

I am grateful for our local community groups and organizations. On October 25, volunteers from the VFW Post 9871 helped out with our Senior Center spaghetti dinner, with proceeds benefitting senior programming. I appreciate the partnership of the Lions Club and Rotary Club who sponsored our earlier spaghetti dinners this year, in addition to all of the other groups that have provided support to our senior services in 2024.

I am grateful for our veterans. As we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11, we thank and honor all those who have served in our military, in wartime or peacetime. This year, I am especially grateful for the dedication and tenacity of all those who were involved in the creation of the North Ridgeville Veterans Memorial in South Central Park.

I am also grateful for the generous spirit of our community. As we plan for the season ahead, we think about those in our city who are in need of assistance. The city is sponsoring a Holiday Food and Toy Drive to benefit North Ridgeville Community Care through November 29. If you would like to participate, we will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items and new toys in their original packaging. Drop off locations include City Hall, North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation and the North Ridgeville Senior Center.

Why not show your appreciation and gratitude by giving back to your community, neighborhood or favorite organization? This month, let us share together in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Coffee and Conversation with the Mayor
