Special Regulations

FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATION
The City of North Ridgeville has special flood hazard areas that are subject to periodic inundation which may result in property damage and pose risks to public health and safety. Structures that are inadequately elevated, flood proofed or otherwise protected from flood damage can contribute to flood loss. In order to minimize the threat of such damages, the City has adopted regulations to govern development upon lands designated as special flood hazard by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). City regulations can be found in NRCO Chapter 1464.

The FEMA Flood Map Service Center (MSC) is the official online location to find all flood hazard mapping products created under the National Flood Insurance Program, including our community’s flood map. Click the link below for more information.
