Happy New Year, North Ridgeville!
I hope the holidays brought you opportunities to enjoy time with family and friends and to engage in activities around the city. As we welcome 2025, I feel optimistic about the year ahead.
At this time last year, we were wrapping up the final round of engagement for the Ridgeville Ready Master Plan which was adopted in April. Your input was crucial in developing a plan that reflects our community’s vision and aspirations. Throughout 2024, we focused on improving infrastructure, launching initiatives to support local businesses and partnering with community organizations that directly benefit families in North Ridgeville. We made strides that have set the stage for continued growth.
Looking forward, key capital projects in 2025 include the SR 83 and Chestnut Ridge Road roundabout and the Cypress Avenue extension. These projects will further enhance our city’s infrastructure and improve connectivity. These efforts are rooted in our commitment to creating a city that works for everyone, a place where all residents are proud to call home.
I am especially excited about the multitude of programs organized for you by our North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation and Senior Center staff members. Our city provides activities, clubs and opportunities for us to connect everyone from our youngest to our most seasoned citizens.
Additionally, I look forward to our upcoming Coffee and Conversation sessions. These gatherings provide an opportunity to share city updates, answer questions and hear your thoughts about our community. The first session of the new year will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 8:30 a.m. In honor of World Kiwanis Week, we will welcome a special guest, Toni Krone, from the Kiwanis Club of North Ridgeville. All Coffee and Conversation dates are posted on the website and events are held in Council Chambers at City Hall.
Thank you for your dedication to making North Ridgeville a thriving and vibrant community. Together, let’s make 2025 a year of progress, connection and success.
Best wishes,
Mayor Kevin Corcoran
